Environmental Education and the role of the IVN Library Client

The IVN provides in co-operation with Friends of the Earth a national information facility in the field of environmental education. This facility contains the updating and operation of a library and documentation centre. The change in information needs of the users call for a rethinking of the current services and positioning of the facility in the context of the environmental education information household at large. The project was aimed at clarifying which services and which skills are necessary to adequately satisfy the needs of the customers. Furthermore strategic advice and support was provided by the formulation of an information management plan.
