The International Toolkit Sport for Development offers ready to use tools and resources to realise ambitions in the field of Sport for Development. The toolkit was produced for NGOs, sports clubs and governments in third world countries who want to use sport to achieve devel-opment goals. An international team of 20 high profile organisations (UN, International Olympic Committee, Right to Play, Unicef, IPC, UK Sport, Commonwealth Games Canada, Australian Sports Commission) gave access to their knowledge and tools. Van Kempen Consultancy coor-dinated the project, conducted research, collected information, built and programmed the toolkit (www.toolkitsportdevelopment.org). User statistics show a continuous rise since the launch (March 2007: 6.600 unique users and 1.7 Gigabyte downloading of documents monthly).
